Simple Exhaust Question

Current I have : Stromungle Axle back exhaust (dual tip)

I just bought: Helix downpipe

I want to: connect it all together for a nice stealthy turboback setup.

someone once told me i'll need a stromung mid-pipe or something like that, will that work? Just wanna ask you doodes what will i need to complete my setup without too much restriction?

thanks!

I'm not sure what the Stromung Mid pipe looks like...but you need something that will bolt up to the Helix DP.....Some mid pipes (borla hush) use steel clamps to hold the exhaust sections together not your standard flanges w/gaskets. Basically you just need to make sure that your mid pipe has the proper flanges on each end to bolt up to the DP and the axle back.

It should bolt up fine. You have the axle back, so I'm guessing you have the stock resonator pipe. The helix will bolt up to the stock pipe, but you will have slightly less flow than an aftermarket 3" pipe.

get this pipe. its a 3" midpipe that tapers down to 2.5" and connects to anything stock would connect to at the muffler side, and it connects to teh helix on the dp side.

ya, i have the stock 'resonator' pipe (midpipe?) - so there's no need to buy one right?

I'm not gonna be putting down more than 200whp on this car anyway, so i probably won't need a full 3" system
