there's another noise i noticed today
not sure if it is normal or not

is really really light noise when idling (not sure if it is there.. more noticeable from under the engine)
u know how the engine goes dom dom dom dom dom.
the noise is almost sychonized to it.. like metal touch metal. cling cling cling cling
really light noise. is that normal?

please help.

 

Sounds kind of like an exhaust rattle... but without hearing anything its almost impossible to say. I had a rattle from my down pipe heat shield that sounded a bit like what you are describing.

 

i dunno. have to look into it more detailed today.

 

i got strange sound on my 05' STi too... but when I go around 60mph... it's somewhere behind the steering wheel
