*Help needed* Rattling sound from downpipe area

Hello everybody,

I recently heard a metallic rattling sound coming from the downpipe area. It sounded as if something was vibrating. The car was at idle in my garage.

I have a 2013 WRX and I was in stage 2 two weeks ago. I decided to go back to stock and uninstall my turbo back.

While going to stage 2 and taking out my stock downpipe, it had a frozen bolt on the bracket connecting it to the bracket on the car. We had to cut the bracket to remove the DP bracket from the car bracket.

My friends and I met up 2 weeks ago to uninstall the turbo back and go back to the stock turbo back exhaust. My stock DP bracket slipped into the car bracket and stayed there without a tightened bolt holding them together. All the other bolts were tightened properly and the only error of the install was not being able to secure down the DP bracket to the car bracket due to the cut open DP bracket.

What are possible solutions for this problem? I'm thinking about taking a flat rubber piece and putting it in between the two metal pieces.
Does anyone know where I would be able to buy this piece of rubber that can be cut to the specific specs of the bracket.

Mahalo!

Is it the bracket where it looks a hook, and you have to get it over the little lip to get it to bolt down? I just installed my DP about a couple weeks ago, and I think I know what bracket you're talking about. Your idea of a rubber spacer inbetween the 2 brackets doesn't sound like a bad idea, as long as you can still bolt it down together.

There is also a bolt on the down pipe that connects to the transmission near the axles

Check the bolts from the turbo to the downpipe?

Yes! It is the bracket that looks like a hook. Where would you suggest getting the rubber piece?

How big of a rubber piece do you need?

OR...you could do it the right way and simply replace the bracket.
