Danger in not having bellmouth DP?

I know having a downpipe with a divorced wastegate or bellmouth is preferable for better performance, but is there any DANGER in not having a bellmouth or divorced opening right after the turbo? Will there be an increase in pressure behind the turbo causing shorter life or engine failure??

Am I putting my car at risk by not having a bellmouth?

Thanks, Andy

your stock downpipe isnt a bellmouth or divorced wastegate downpipe so i doubt there would be much danger

yeah no "risk" per se, only other than wasting your time/money on a dp that will give you minimal gains over stock that you will eventually be pulling out to replace with a better design

good used bellmouth DPs trade for under $200 nowadays, keep your eye out for one, you'll thank me!
