Is there nothing out there quieter in 3" than the Borla Hush or the Greddy Evo2? Both exhausts seem significantly louder than stock. I understand that with more flow comes more noise, yet I have to ask, are those two the only answer without dropping back to the stock 2.5" muffler?

both of them really aren't that loud. Even with turboback, it isn't nearly as loud as the other exhausts.

 

my apexi ws2 is pretty quiet with normal driving. as with any exhaust it will be audible with aggressive driving.

 

I have a 3" random technologies TBE with a resonator and a stock STI muffler on my car. Although I appreciate how quiet it is I would like a more free flowing exhaust.
My problem is not at idle with the Borla, Greddy, or Apex it is at WOT I do not want every one turning thier heads. I may be after something that is not a reality but I figure its worth a try.

the vishnu twintip is very quiet, more so than the borla hush.

 

such a piece is only available used now, Vishnu no longer carries those pieces, instead opting to carry the Helix stuff, which is loud.

 

one setup I looked into getting is the Borla XR-1 catback, with a custom-installed "low-backpressure" resonator installed.
