Yeah I definetly don't want to get a new turbo yet. I want stuff that I can take off and put the stock stuff back on in case I need to use my warranty. The 6mt is an expensive piece to fix out of pocket. I have talked to MZN International out of Austin TX and they are hooking me up with all APS FMIC, CAI, Uppipe, TBE, and computer. I go to Vermont every year to go skiing. Do you guys have any experience with a front mount in snow. I will be getting the wastegate ported so will there still be an issue with spike due to the extremely cold air. Keep in mind that the car will be tuned to New Orleans weather. By the way, Mardi Gras is the first weekend of Feb. so any iclub members who need a place to stay, hit me up on this thread.

I am also going to get the Vishnu TBE, Blitz BOV, Cusco front and rear tie bars, STi pink springs, and whatever intake Cobb recommends due to tuning reasons. The guy at my dealership is pretty cool with up grades (he even offered to sell me a Unichip) and because he has an STi he said he'd be cool with bending a little for warranty reasons. I can't wait to get some decent sound out of this thing (a little power too). Let me know what you guys think.

Performance first, function always.

Hey glad you like the area. It's really nice when the sun is out here cuz the rain and clouds kinda suck. As far as the Vishnu TBE and Cobb AP, I'm not sure if that is a really good idea. Vishnu has a Stage 1 package that uses the TBE and XEDE piggy back. To me I think they make that TBE work witht he XEDE while the Cobb AP is made to work with their TBE. Just a thought. I'm not a huge fan of mixing and matching.

I'm sure that is the case but there is no reason why I can't tune for that exhaust myself when Accesstuner comes out(because the systems integrate). I've already decided on APS stuff anyway so the Vishnu exhaust is old news now even though it is a good one. By the way, does anyone know why APS doesn't put prices on their website? Also, are there any negative aspects of using a FMIC in snow? I live in New Orleans but go to Vermont every year to ski.

I just became a member yesterday and was reading over your forums and you all are clearly pretty knowledgable on cars. I was wondering what you guys recommend getting done to a new STi (just finished break-in). I have about $3500 to work with and don't want to change out the turbo just yet for switching stuff back in case I have to use my warranty. I have a turbo Prelude which I am selling and whatever I make off it I will spend at Jotech Motorsports in Dallas on the STi. Until then I'd like to know what you guys recommend as far as performance with the $3500 to work with. If you could be brand specific I'd be greatly appreciative (i.e. HKS, Blitz, Vishnu, etc...) . Also I've heard issues of a BOV being bad for the STi...any responses would be great. Thanks and I look forward to contributing to the club. PS I'm in the Army so if you need help with that fundraiser let me know.
