Some people have had bad experiences with the AP.
No engine management actually cures boost creep- none. Not even EcuTek. What you CAN do is shut off the fuel cut that happens when you overboost. This is how some people get around it. I personally would get the exhaust I wanted, get tuned, and then see if I was getting boost creep (which is 16 psi + on a stock VF39). If so, I'd then get it ported.

at wrxsti.com there r bunches of peps that have the 05 with the stage 2 accessport and exhaust and say they have no problem with the boost creep . and if u do get it u can download a hwg map that controls the function of the wastegate.. now im not saying i know that u dont have to port , but ive read and asked a bunch of peps and they say i wont have to port my wastegate.. but when i find out for myself ill keep u posted...

Again, what engine management changes is the boost cut threshold. You are STILL GETTING BOOST CREEP. It's just not cutting fuel. It's not the ideal solution (that would be porting your wastegate or not running catless). Don't confuse not having fuel cut with not having boost creep.
