it's pretty easy to do,
first where is your boost guage mounted?
if it is on the steering column, split the plastic coverand remove the bottom half
there are 2 screws that hold the top half in place, remove them.
next lift up the top portion of the column cover and you will see there are 2 bolts holding the rubberized gauge pod in place, remove them (this will give you enough room to get something in behind the pod.
I used a screwdriver taped up the tip real good so I wouldn't scratch the gauge in the back. also make sure you press gently on either side like you you were trying to walk it out.
after the gauge is out take remove the bulb and either use a "bulb condom" or use bulb paint, I have even heard of people using a sharpie, I used some paint made for bulbs and has withstood the heat for almost a year.

backlighting
the bulb un-clips from the back of the boost gauge. Use this link to get different color covers for the bulb:

This place has all the colors you need I would get a package of both .12 and .20 covers just to be safe. I can't remember which size i used on the boost gauge.
