Modding an 04 STi for Torque
Yeah, you read it right. I'm finally getting around to modding my STi, but my goal is not horsepower, it's torque. Are there mods that will help me build torque over horsepower? What about tuning, can you tune for torque?

if i had the answer i'd help you out. =) You should give GST a call and talk to them about you goals and questions. They can provide you some great advice, high speed knowledge and save you the time and money.

good question to ask your tuner. I recommend EQ Tuning. maybe get a few rides in different cars to see what you think.

I feel like meth injection is still to risky. Maybe I'm just a negative person but I can see my car blowing up like an atom bomb with that stuff. With a good tuner I might be more easily convienced.

im on the fence about meth injection too. i dont think the risk is worth the power gains. I know Ed @ EQ doesnt have too much faith in meth injection either.
some stuff that worked for me was headers and increasing the compression ratio. Equal length headers are said to yeild more torque but mine was dyno'd with unequal length headers. I hit 280whp/300wtq on GST's dyno untuned and 287whp/318wtq on dbtuned's dyno very conservatively tuned. Both mustangs.
