30 months or 30,000 miles, whichever comes first. Sooner if vehicle is operated in very dusty areas. Here is the maintenance schedule that is also included with the packet of materials that accompanies your Owner's Manual. Check your packet since it may have updated information on your model year. Here is a how-to on replacement of the air filter element.

^sounds like a wise idea. although dont be to worried, out of all the things on your car that you let go longer on the maintenance schedule, the air filter is the least likely to cause any problems. it just filters better when dirty and flows a little lower. your filter is rated above your cars WHP rating so your fine. it is best however to always follow your SOA recommended service periods.
