how much boost can be run on my STI EJ25T

Yesterday, I went to SCCA and my peak boost was 1.21 Bar or 17.8 PSI. I think this is bad without engine management? Anyways, I reset the peak boost and I usually get 1.12 bar or 16.5 PSI. I only have a Perring downpipe and did the silencer mod. What you guys think? Dangerous or not. I do not hear any pinging.
