what kind of power are you expecting to run? the stock clutch is actually pretty stout and will take 300whp for quite a while if your not a complete noob with the clutch. Mine didnt start pooping out untill after I 40K miles running a GT30R with 340whp. Switched to a Exedy twin-plate and didnt like it at all. Right now Im running a 20G at around 300whp and a stock clutch again with about 30K miles on both and grabs hard and wont slip no matter what I do with it. Im about to throw another built motor in and a APS SR40 so Im planning on running just an Exedy stage one clutch, this is just an OE organic disc with a 40% over pressure plate, thats going to be plenty of clutch for anything up to 400whp, and still behaves like stock. Ive driven one and aside from a little extra effort on the pedal the clutch engages as smooth as stock. People also like the ACT version with the OE disc and the heavy plate, I belive they call it the "Extreme", though its always about $150 more than the Exedy stage one everywhere I see it, and I like Exedy since they are one of the largest clutch manufacturers in the world and make our own stock clutch, so why pay more?
