I keep getting a flashing cel i think it due to knock but i dont know. Can knock be caused by being to lean cause my afr at cruising is like 16:1. I will keep adding fuel to bring this down but wanna make sure that this is the problem i keep getting a flashing cel without the cruise blinking. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. My mods are perrin injectors, vf22, tbe, utec and perrin big maf. The problem that i am having is that i get a flashing cel when driving the car without boost. I havent gotten into boost yet. The cel just flashes for a few seconds and than turns off and comes back on in a few seconds or so. Its not misfires cause when the cel is blinking i try and pull the code and there is no codes at all. Could my spark plugs be bad that its still firing but not good enough. When i look at all my logs i have no knock counts. Thanks

 

If my memory serves me the UTEC uses the engine light as a warning to knock.

Fast blinks for knock and slow blinks for misfire.

I sugguest you pull your log if you haven't done so already, find the rpm range your knock is occuring, and tune down a lil

Or have a pro do it as a dyno.

 

Is this a WRX or STi? What plugs are you running (part #s), what gap are they set at, and how old are they?

 

thanks for all the help guys it was stupid human error when i changed plugs i forgot to plug the harness back on to one of the coils so i was only running on 3 cylinders luckily i didnt get into boost much or maybe something bad might of happened. Thanks for all the help.
