if you still want an intake go for the cobb short ram, its made of a plastic similar to your stock one that is supposed to handle the heat dissapation issues better than other aftermarket systems which heat up and make you run lean. mike at gstmotorsports sells them along with a bunch of other vendors. its only $150.

I think people that do that are so fricken stupid. No offense but come on, 50$ more for something thats not gona hurt your engine, or save 50 bucks and run lean and down the road potentially run into a problem? Im not saying that the amount of leaning that the cai is causing will necesarily do damage, but lean is what leads to a blown engine.

Well this just happened to me today. I had the cc set and the CEL cam on and the cc stopped working. Now I have a blinking cc light and a CEL light. What is the right way to correct this?

By the way I have a SPT intake and heat shield.

even the SPT intake has flaws. The best one is the Cobb one because it is pastic and doesn't retain heat. The best way to fix this is put your stock intake back on. To get rid of the cel, unplug your battery and press the brake 20 times. then reconnect your battery and it should be fine. If you have an accessport, reset the ecu

I did exactly that earlier today. Disconnected the battery for about an hour and solved the CEL.
