unfortunately, this is quite a complicated topic. most of the people reading this lack the understanding of science that is required to think through the whole process and truly understand it.

it's fine for someone to post the real answer, but the problem then becomes the people who read it but don't understand it. by nature, these people will invariably try to explain it to someone else using their own reasoning and totally bungle it up.

so, on one hand, i do think it is important to post the truth, but on the other hand, it is somewhat of a fruitless endeavor due to the fact that it will end up getting mangled and contorted as is gets passed on down the grapevine by the layperson who lacks the true understanding required to properly explain it.

now after all that jive-talk, i will be the first to admit that it's something that i've never really thought about in depth before. personally, i know that you must take the AWHP figures that you hear from tuners with a large grain of salt. i have learned to compensate (albeit vaguely) for power figures i hear that come from different dynos at different tuning houses.

it is a topic that i would love to speak to a knowledgable individual about, but also something that i believe would take a long time to convey over the internet in writing. ya dig?
