'07 Rattling Issues?
'07 Rattling Issues?
I have previously owned '04 and '05 STi's, so I'm not new to the car or site. I'm thinking about dropping by the dealership tomorrow and getting myself an '07 though. Basically I loved everything about the car except for the annoying rattles that seem to come from everywhere. Any '07 owners out there that can give me some feedback on the new car and let me know if you are having issues with rattling please? Any help is appreciated!

i just switched from an 05 to an 07 and ive had the car for about a day now and mine seems a lot quieter and better built the shifting seems more precise and the shifter doesnt make noise anymore like the 05 did. there is reports on the 07 making noise from the drivers door but that was the problem i had in my 05 but my 07 seems to be free of all of these rattling issues.
side note under spirited but not heavy acceleration in 2nd the shifter jumps around kind of a lot

Do the rattling sounds seem to come from like the front area, around under the dash areas? Cause when I am at a complete stop, my 07 makes this shaking/rattling noise, like a piece of plastic is loose.

The back portion of my interior by the back window of my 04 STi sounds like someones shaking a cereal box. Im sure the springs, strut bars, ALK, sways, solid endlinks and steering rack bushings have something to do with it.

If im not mistaken...I believe that the thing rattling is the piece of plastic in the center of the dash where the clock it. I have a 06 STi and thats where my rattle comes from, well the glove box also.

my 06 Wagon has a rattle when I hit bumps in the rear. I cannot figure out if it is the passenger side seat belt or the privacy cover mechanism. I plan on removing the cover and driving to see if the sound is still there.
Oh and once in a while the clock thing rattles too.
