The STi peaks at about 14.5 psi. I'm not sure why he said 7 psi.

he said that it can boost 14.5 but that when it comes off the lot that it is set for 7... that you need a boost control to get the 14.5

lmao. so....does he sell boost controllers??? stock sti's hit 1 bar (14.7psi) stock. And if you ever think about getting a boost controller, dont! Get an accessport to controll your boost.

.1 kPa is peak boost. It's roughly 1 bar, which is roughly 14.5 psi. You won't see peak boost 100% of the time. If the engine load is light, boost stays low, and it can be that way even if you're putting your foot into it a little, especially in lower gears.

the subie tech you spoke with is a foking moron....sorry, I had to say it.

DO NOT GET A BOOST CONTROLLER!!!!

The STi from factory will boost to 14.5psi, only at WOT. If its never boosting that high there is problems with the boost control system, hosing ,etc.

Again, the subie tech you spoke with is foking moron. Don't listen to him & definately don't let him work on it.
