Arrow Stock Boosting Behavior

Hey guys, im pretty new to my WRX and I had a question about the stock boost behavior mine seems to show. In first year max boost is approx 10bls. In second gear its abour 12-13bls. I can only reach the max boost of 14.2 in 3rd or above gears. Even in 3rd, 4th and 5th the boost falls off as I reach higher rpms. Does this sound normal to you? I would like to have full boost in first and second gear as its pretty slow off the line with only 10lbs.

Thanks guys

This is normal be design. To get full boost in all your gears, you'll have to add an aftermarket boost controller.

Ya my apex boost gauge reads just a notch under 15lbs under full highway acceleration. So what cheap but affective boost controller do you guys suggest? I had a turbonetics one on my 240sx that had a nice design and seemed to work pretty well. I liked it cuz it came with a nice mount and adjusting was done by hand, not with a allen wrench or a screwdriver. You simply pulled the cap up, turned it to adjust, and just popped it back down to lock in place.

I actualy had a turboxs MBC once. I dont like the design because they dont come with a mounting bracket and you have to use an allen wrench to adjust it. It didnt seem to control boost any better then my Turbonetics unit. Any other suggestions for MBC that are adjustable by hand, not using a tool?

Thanks guys

turbosmart or turboxs dual stage MBC is adjustable by hand, plus you'll be able to switch from 2 different boost settings from the cockpit.
