Rich, who owns the shop, likes to use APS exclusively and is even featured on the APS site.

If you want to go with the bigger exhuast here it is:

Good for 600whp, but MUCH louder and more noticeable. My 3" system looks very stock, it looks similar to the SPT exhaust from the 2006-2007 STIs.
I really thank you for the help!! It looks like I will be getting the APS single top 3" exhaust, but I can find a catback. all I see is a turbo back for $900 and thats way more than I want to spend. or the Tanabe medalian touring

Matt, this is the same exhaust I have on my STI but it only comes as a full TBE. You'd have to sell your downpipe as well.

Hey Matt you ever look into building the 5speed? I'm thinking of getting PPG straight cut gears.

Yes but the the gears are only as strong as the case the gears are going into, the WRX case is also really week. You will also have to upgrade the difs and stuff, plus a 6 speed cost about the same... I would rather have the Sti trany

I would go with the full 6MT swap, the benefit is the DCCD and R180 lsd. PPG's are awesome gearsets, but with the kind of hp numbers you are wanting, I would think more traction would be better with the 6MT! My car even at only 280whp drives unbelievably different now than when I had the 5MT in, it is a complete different driving experience! The cost is very comparable between the swap by the time its all said and done.
