02 WRX, 64500 mi., running Utec stage 2, Bosel cat-less up-pipe, TXS cat-less downpipe, high-flow cat, Blitz axle back. Have recently noticed a little white/blue smoke from exhaust, thinking it's my turbo. Smoke looks the same as on my Eclipse when that turbo needed replaced. Any suggestions on how to diagnose before I have to pay to have it looked at? If it is the turbo I can install it my self.

 

If idle is ok pull spark plugs if normal,=turbo seal gonners.
If idle bad and plugs show oil or is wet with coolent =engine gonners.

 

Have not checked plugs yet but idle is rock solid, Turbo seals are what went in the Eclipse.

 

hows oil consumption, thats a big deciding factor in a diag. like that. blueish tint smoke is going to be an oil consumption problem. if you are seeing white color smoke check coolant level. monitor them closely and then go from there

 

when do you notice the smoke? after its warmed up? at start up? while driving?
