My friend has an 05 wrx and want to know whats the best turbo he can get for his 2.0 liter?

 

it depends. what kinda power is he looking to get?

Seriously though....what's he want to spend. Supporting mods...etc.

If he just wants to do a turbo with limited upgrades as far as supporting mods and what not I'd get a VF39.

 

well he told me money isnt an option. just wants to know the most power he can get through a stock block.

 

if all he cares about are power numbers and bragging rights then do a front mount with a GT35.


If you want driveability and something that won't granade the block then get an 18G TD05. A larger top mount. supporting mods and a tune.

Then start talking about C16, meth, hyra...etc.

 

if money is no option he should first ditch the 2.0

 

he was thinking of getting a cobb block Stg 2 with a GT40 setup in the next year or so but i think i'm just going to have him get an 18g untill he thinks about putting that motor in

Don't be a hater. You can get plenty of power out of the 2.0L.

I 2nd the Full Race kit they make some of the nicest parts I have ever seen on a car.

Have him get an FP Green, such a bad *** turbocharger!
