vf34 vs 18g

What's the better turbo all-round for a daily driver? What rpm does each spool at (with or without the supporting mods but be specific)? Any downsides/annoying lag...etc.? I'm guessing that the 18g is more powerful. Anyone?

18g vf34

The vf34 will spool slightly quicker then the 18g... but definetely not enough to notice a difference. The difference u will notice thos is the 18g will put more power.. especieally on the top end. vf34 spools bout 3200 and 18g 3400... but if you are going to keep modding the suby go with 18g because it can be used with a block. The vf34 is a great turbo for a daily driver, but if u r looking for more hp... go with the 18g ... lol mine is on back order and getting ported it will be at my house in about a week!

What octane gas? 93 or more - Definitly 18g for more power. WHo cares about lag

From all Ive read the spool is very similiar.

91 octane - I would recommend the vf34 because in the end the octane is the limiting factor. Unless you run race gas, you will just be overspending on the turbo for similiar power on 91
