Turbo Upgrade Questions???
What are all the mods that you must do to run a pe1820 besides fuel inj, fuel pump. I have full txs tbe, no cats, txs utec, and helix flex up pipe. Please be specific. I am pretty serious about upgrading the turbo next. I was looking at the vf30, but it sounds like the pe 1820 or 1818 might be the way to go.

thats about it!! fuel injectors, pump, TB exhaust, up-pipe, ecu management, Colder sparkplugs, maybe a larger TMIC or FMIC. Later when you go through the clutch you have...get an upgraded one....thats it, you have almost everything.

I just got into the PE turbos by getting the 1818. Loved it, no issues....I knew that when I upgraded it would be the PE1820. So, I just stayed with the PE turbo...again, no complaints.

More Turbo Questions???
As of right now, I have purchased the Power Enterprise 800cc Injectors, Walbro Fuel Pump, Perrin Fuel Rails, and Sard Racing Adjustabel Fuel Pressure Regulator. This is in addition to my full exhaust system set up: GT-Spec V2 Headers w/Up-pipe, Invidia Downpipe, HKS Carbon-Ti Catback Exhaust System.
Like I said before my target is around 300-350 Whp. As far as my turbo selection, I wanna go with the Power Enterprise 1820 Turbine...but the 20G upgrade, & the APS Sr-50 Turbines are strong competitors too.
Can you guys give me the ups & highs for these turbines? I understand that these turbos lag more than the stock ones & I have no problem with that at all.
Thanks,
Marky

with my 1820 I get full bost from 4000-4200 RPM's. not to bad with a big turbo. with my 6 speed....there are no lag issues. Are you going to upgrade to a 6 speed?, or RA gears?....it will help alot with lag compared to the 5 speed.

I have no plans on switching to a 6spd anytime soon. I will definitely upgrade the clutch, flywheel and the tranny internals to handle the extra power. In addition, I might add a 50-shot nitrous to the set up to speed up the process of making pressure to reduce lag...

sweet....
just remember the only real weakness is the tranny, so if you hook it up, you will be good. Hope your project goes well for you.
