20G, I mean, why not go all the way, huh? It would suck to get the 16G or 18G and then wish you had the 20G, ya know?

I'm proned to go big whenever I buy anything though because I hate leaving and getting that nagging feeling that I should have gone with the next model up. Just my .02 .

Thants true if you are going to go for 300hp why not make sure you get it and go with the 20g. You will get a little more lag with the 20g as apposed to the 18g (if that matters to you).

PE1820 will get you 300+ WHP and you will kill people even on the freeways. Great top end Turbo. I have one ...it is awesome. I have smoked the usual V8 Mustangs, Camero, Z06 Vett, and even smoked a NEW M3 on the freeway. You may get a "lil" lag....but if you need your power...just down shift. Trust me...it's not as bad as people say!!

If you match it up with a STi 6 speed...like I did...you vertually have NO lag....every gear is in your love!!!

PE1818 will get you close too.

ps. I will have an extra 1820 for sale next week. If your interested.

this is the turbo i wanted for a while and your remarks enforce that even more.

i went to the la sema show and talked to the guy at the power enterprise booth. he told me that a customer of his runs an 1820 on his sti. he also has bigger injectors and engine management too. i bet that thing pulls!

Yes they do pull....awesome High end. Just got my WRX tuned again with my 1820....damn it is sweet!!!! I will be looking for STi's and EVO's again. hehehehe

Hey, if you are interested I still have a "newer" version pe1820 that I am going to be selling. I bought it from a local guy who went back to a vf22, I used if for the "suby track day" and took it off last week...it is in great condition, but I am now using my other friends "older" version pe1820.

Anyway, if your interested let me know....it will be cheaper than buying a NEW one!!! I havnt posted in the FS section yet.

I heard that the "older" version, get a lil more power, but I dont think much...they are both awesome turbos and I dont think anyone would tell the difference between the 2.

Now the pe1825 is a twin scroll....so I dont think we can use those....unless we change a lot of things. would be nice though.

the PE turbo's only really shine with high octane right?

as in a vf22 will be just as good on pump gas as a 1820 correct?

or am i wrong...

ferdie, what would u say the best pump gas turbo is for track / autocross?

which also would give the best freeway high end

PE's are great on pump gas too. Thats what I run. But yes...even BETTER on higher octane....as with all turbos. My pe1820 was perfect on the Button Willow track...NO LAG issues at all. But then again I have an JDM Sti tranny, which has a closer ratio than 5 speed trannys.

As for highway... the 1820 is SICK!!!!! I believe it still has WAY better High end over the vf22. This 1820 turbo just pulls!!! Keeps pulling all through 5th and even into 6th....I couldnt be happier with my choice to go with a pe1820.

Now, if you want something with a lil less lag on a 5 speed, maybe the 1818, or the vf22. To me 1820 > vf22...and PE > vf.
