turbo timers - are they needed?

some ppl say you dont need it, but i dont think its a bad idea to have one. all the turbo timer works the same just pick the one you like the most.

According to Subaru you don't need one with their design.

No! You do not need one of the biggest $$$ rip offs for you car!
It's a water-cooled turbo, after the engine shuts down the heat in the engine keeps a small flow of coolant circulating through the lines by convection! If you’re worried about it, run synthetic oil, that stuff will not coke up while sitting on the hot turbo bearing. That’s the other reason you don’t need a turbo timer; it’s a sleeve type turbo bearing, not a roller bearing.
