Why do you disagree? There are tests floating around done by Turbo magazine who tested cat-back exhausts which shows that HKS made the best power. Second uppipes are uppipes, I haven't had a problem with my HKS uppipe, it deffinetly makes power because that Cat is gone and also my spool up is much quicker, Yes my downpipe isn't the all time best but it does make power also, It removes the cat which = hp simple as that, there are gains with the parts, good affordable gains I've spent $260 on my catless parts which is a steal, it makes power, dissolves spool up, so yes it makes me affordable power. Remember key word affordable power.

I don't have anything against the parts from down under. I prefer JDM parts over anything. It is a statement.

As for tMIC's, look into pressure drops, how much CFM they flow across the board, etc. Tests have shown that a few aftermarket TMIC's (i THINK APS, but don't quote me on that one) showed no gain across the board over stock.

I plan on getting the JDM TMIC. I have read an article in SCC or Turbo magazine or was it Import Tuner?? Haha well it was shown that the JDM TMIC cooled down more efficently and absorbed less heat then some bar and plate TMIC out there. And also a lot of front strut tower bars can be bolted on with this TMIC with no issues.

Actually after having been at a few dyno sessions at the local shop, the guy that tunes all the Subarus around here notices that sti top mounts heat soak almost as easily as the stock wrx top mount. The hyperflow stayed pretty cool compared to the sti ones actually. I'd either go with a big tmic like hyperflow or i'd stay stock because either wrx or sti top mount will get heat soaked easily.

TMIC Vs FMIC...which and why? I think unless it's a high hp car a big TMIC might be better for lag than a FMIC.

well i think the FMIC would be more usuer friendly 2. Its already a PITA to put the stock intercooler back in on the stock turbo. Just thinking about installing a bigger Intercooler on a bigger turbo like a 18g is starting to **** me off and make my knuckles bleed hehe.
