Yea I think I will stick with HKS parts. Nothing wrong with AVO but I paid $100 bucks for the HKS DP. I then took it to a shop paid $50 bucks and had it made into a divorced wastegate DP. So for 150 dollars I have a divorced DP that preforms better than any bellmouth so as far as I am concerned HKS is good in my book. I would go with AVO parts if they were easy to come by in Japan but alas they are not so HKS will continue to be one of my main stays. Also TUNING or changing parts on your car can also be done to the parts you buy. Get a pad and a pen and just jot down what you want then see if you can do it.
As for tMIC's, look into pressure drops, how much CFM they flow across the board, etc. Tests have shown that a few aftermarket TMIC's (i THINK APS, but don't quote me on that one) showed no gain across the board over stock.

I plan on getting the JDM TMIC. I have read an article in SCC or Turbo magazine or was it Import Tuner?? Haha well it was shown that the JDM TMIC cooled down more efficently and absorbed less heat then some bar and plate TMIC out there. And also a lot of front strut tower bars can be bolted on with this TMIC with no issues.

The heatsoak maybe so but they show in the magazine he was referring to that the stocker STi TMIC cooled down quicker after comming to a complete stop and then taking off again. They could show gains on a Dyno but that was it so AF TMIC might be beneficial but I highly doubt that your gonna stomp the crap out of someone if all you have is an AF TMIC and they got the stocker!!!

well i think the FMIC would be more usuer friendly 2. Its already a PITA to put the stock intercooler back in on the stock turbo. Just thinking about installing a bigger Intercooler on a bigger turbo like a 18g is starting to **** me off and make my knuckles bleed hehe.
