Ticking noise from drivers side

What up guys.so I just purchased an 05 wrx wagon with 67xxx miles on it.car is flawless inside and out. I am the second owner.the first owner never modded it and always took it to the dealer for scheduled maintenance every 3-5k. One thing that bugs me though is I hear this ticking noise from the drivers side when accelerating. I hear it the most when I'm next to a wall or curb, but I can't really hear it otherwise. It sounds like an exhaust leak but I looked high and low underneath the car today and saw no signs of a leak. Ive heard many people mentioning this same noise and some say it's just the normal boxer sound. Any input would be appreciated because I want to be sure I can depend on this car for awhile lol.thanks guys and girls

is this while driving? I know it sounds stupid but check to see if you have a nail or screw in the tire. I had that happen to me once.

This!

Just happened to me recently. If so, you should feel a slight vibration at low speeds as well.

Lol yea I made sure I didn't have a nail or rock. This noise is definitely from the engine compartment, and more predominant on the drivers side. It's not loud like rod knock, but it is noticeable

I have the same problem, first I thought that I have rodknock.
20k miles later I have the same ticking noise, exactly same one you described.
Don't worry about it. Subarus make all the kind of noises.
Just check your oil level regularly and you'll be fine.
