STI turbo upgrade on a wrx

Hey everyone, I was thinking of running a stock sti turbo (VF34 I'm assuming) on my 04 wrx. So far I have a up-pipe, catted downpipe, and a AP which I have not done a protune for yet. I have researched and have found out that I will need the following:

Walbro Fuel Pump
STI pink injectors or better (which ones besides the sti pinks)
One step colder plugs (Which one is recommended)
STI stock IC or ebay TMIC

Is there anything else I need besides a protune? Is it safe and reliable to run this setup without a aftermarket header or Catback? I still have the stock catback and am lookbing to be stealth. Let me know what you guys think.

P.S. How about fuel rails and a stock JDM sti BOV? (Heard it can hold more boost than the US stock one)

Thanks.
Ken

the stock STi turbo is a VF39. i think the VF34 would be a better choice though than the stock STi turbo.

edit: by the way, the fuel rails and JDM Bypass Valve wont be needed. and the stock catback should mate fine with the stock catback on the helix and titek downpipes since i have seen them both done and had the helix v2 on my old car.

Would it be possible to just get a 3 in midpipe and leave the actual muffler section stock? Would that mate up?

Actually you guys how about the Green Force Performance Turbo? Is it that a better investment compared to the VF34?

FP green is a sweet turbo but would be too laggy for a 2liter. Consider the 16/18g turbo's, they are reasonably priced and are rebuildable!

I see, yeah I was just looking at some turbo options. I was considering the 18g because I can get it and ported brand new for about $980. Is that price good?

Thats not too bad, try Deadboltenterprise see how they compare. Also consider having the turbo coated if you plan on doing track days.

I'm at the site and it actually shows 2 18g versions of the TD06H and the TD05H? I'm guessing I'm suppose to be getting the TD06H right? What's the true difference between these two?

www.blouchturbo.com

check these guys out.

here's the subaru options: http://www.blouchturbo.com/turbos/result/

If it's a primarily daily driver I would choose the TD05 18G, TD06 18G or the TD05 20G

The TD06 wheel is a larger hotside so it will spool a little slower.

TD06H is designed for larger than the 2.0L, the TD05H is for the 2.0L's...
