STi top mount intercooler on '02 WRX

STi top mount intercooler on '02 WRX
My friend has a STi TMIC on his '02 WRX with Vishnu Stg. 2 goodies. The problem is his A/C no longer works because the intercooler hits the line. Looks like there's a hole in it now.
Anyone have the same problem? Are there any solutions to this.. maybe bending the line and getting it welded?
