"Security" Light

So my 03 wrx recently started to blink its red "SECURITY" light whenever I enter the car (located on the gauge cluster). It has never blinked before until this week. Anyone ever have this happen? Does it mean someone tried to break into my car? Just curious. It does not stay on when I start the car. Thanks in advance.

it shoudl blink a couple times too and more often after you set the alarm.

check yoru manual i am pretty sure it will let you know whats up and what it should be doing.

if you have a stock alarm. test it. get in yrou car. lock the doors with the remote. wait 30 seconds and then open the door. if you unlock and open your doors and the alarm goes off it is working.

It's normal, you just never really paid any attention to it.

Figured it out. apparently its valet mode or something. hold the door open and press disarm/unlock button for 3 seconds to turn off.
