Redline for 2004 WRX

Umm, without going out to the car to look, I'm pretty sure its 7000. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong. The power/torque drops off noticably at about 6200-6300 so I definately shift before redline if I'm getting on it hard.
My butt-dyno says that the turbo isn't producing a noticable effect until about 3200 in 1st and 2nd.

You cannot feel when the turbo kicks in when you drive?
But It kicks in at around 3000rpms and redline is 7000-7250rpms. Boost begins to taper off at around 5500rpms. You will see this when driving.

when i test drove the wrx they let me take it to redline. they have a wrx already broken in. needless to say shortly after test driving i took the car home that day.

Well, boost onset starts at 2500 rpms, but it makes full boost by 3500 rpms or so. The dealreship I went to let me test the car by myself without the dealer, so I could really push it. Also, boost tapers off dramatically around 6500 rpms or so.
well i just bought a 04wrx and my turbo doesnt kick in till around 2600 rpm. i can feel a big boost kick in around there. the car red lines at 6800 but i havent taken it past 3400 cause im still breaking it in. i got 213mi on the car. peace

hey supra_man, when you bought your WRX, did you get any upgrades? Or reduce car price? Because i am still dealing with the two dealerships here, and i am trying to get them to give me free arm rest and paint my side skirts for free. Also cut $500 off the car price. I am getting the car for sure, it's just a matter of time which dealer will give me a better deal.
actually i got mine for 25500 OTD. originally it was going for 27000 but the car i wanted got hit in the lot so they sent it to the body shop and gave me one with sunroof and spoiler. i didnt get any extras like the short shift mod cause it would void warrenty even though it is a subaru part. my car is black so ididnt want to waste money painting my already black side skirts.peace
well if your gonna drive the car like a grandma(which you shouldnt) then the 500 is ok to do. But if your gonna drive it with a big pair between your legs the 1000 is good. Dont rev pas 4k. On mine i havent passed 3200 and 55 mph. I guess its good to live in a state where the speedlimit on the freeway is 50.peace.
