Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

Exclamation Question:intakes

How much sence does it really make to keep the stock intake, with all the restrictions.Would it not make sence to replace it with a short ram that is less restricted right, but the more i research this site the more options i read about intakes the more statements there are about keeping the stock intake. My past vechicle a chevy colorado 04 zq8, the K&N 77 series intake blowed my stock intake out the water. Why is it so diffrent with a turbo application.

Is the SPT intake and exhaust work as a good combo, how does it affect my warranty.

SPT claims "up to 20hp" with the SPT catback and intake (WRX) and "up to 47 hp" with the SPT cat-back and intake (STI). It is warranty friendly and a safe mod for a few extra ponies. The comination is called a "power pack" by SPT.

Yes, I work at a dealership.

Not all dealerships are cool like yours. I would call first just to be safe.

Because the stock box is good up to 350-375 bhp (roughly 275whp).The SRT is the same way.Its not really a turbo thing, just some designs are better than others.Thats why some engines respond better than others to intakes. Not all intakes make goobs of power on N/A cars.Plus it very easy to moddify the stock box to flow more if needed.
