Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

question about types of intakes

A cold air intake pulls air from outside the engine bay, usually the fender, sometimes the scoop. A short ram pulls hot air from the engine bay. Cold air = more power.

It doesn't matter. As long as the air is colder than that in the engine bay it's generally considered a cold air intake.

I you have a WRX I would not recommend an aftermarket intake at all. If you do really want one, make sure it's a cold-air and not a short ram.

He has an '01 RS. WRX intakes do have the advantage of sounding really cool.

Just wondered b/c of the FMI comment. And all intakes have that particular advantage over stock.

i thought if you get an CAI... you won't have enough room for the FMI piping.
