Types of cars faster then WRX
Sitting at the bar, talking with the guys. Girl asks well what cars are faster then the WRX.
So the gentleman and I clarified the question... what "types" of cars are faster then the WRX. And we're talking cars you'd seen around town like more then 5 of. So no viper, and stuff like that... nothing like more then 40,000 if that.
And we're not talking about super modified cars "My friend has a Geo Storm with 400 hp"
So what cars mainly stock in the realtive price range of the WRX are faster...
Supra
RX-7
Mustang GT and higher
Camero
Firebird
350z
lacking sorry still buzzed...
We're talking and say pretty much all the following we can easy beat
Civic
Prelude
CRX
Accord
you guys get the point... pretty stupid converstation I suppose, but get's your brain thinking... seeya

Eclipse GSX 220hp 2wd or awd. a 3000gt vr4 would probably close too. thats a v6 twin turbo, but also heavier. i have a 95 talon tsi, same as eclipse gsx, although i don't know how close it is to a wrx. i have worked on and driven an 02 w/ vishnu stage 0 package. that car was obviously faster than mine. but stock they would be close seeing as the talon/eclipse is lighter (2wd anyway). don't get me wrong here, i in now way wish i had a GSX over a wrx. i would take the subbie any day.

Are you talking about new or used? If you are talking about used cars (I assume you are since you listed the Supra and RX-7), then I'm guessing you are talking about current price of the cars.
The WRX is pretty quick but there are a lot of cars out there that are faster in accelleration that can be had for less than $40K.

I don't thin I would count the last gen Supra or RX7, cause they were in a whole different price category when they were new. Otherwise you might as well add 2nd gen M3, since you can buy one for under $20K now and kids all over Cali drive em. You can't beat the price/performance of the WRX in the current market.
the 350z and mustang gt will be a drivers race.
whats sweet about the wrx is that all the base parts are there. the 350z/s2k are sweet, but to squeeze out more performance you are going to have to go sc/tc. with the wrx, you just mess with some pipes, up the boost, or just change out the turbo. the wrx as it is is a great car, but the real beauty lies in the ability to mod soooo well. the suspension, the drivetrain, the engine, you name it, its just easy as hell to mod.
and according the most peoples bank statements, a little too easy

depends on the camaro/firebird. a v6 car should be no problem, but an ls1 car, especially a ws6 firebird or ss equivalent for the camaro will be a very tough car to beat if driven correctly = low 13 seconds stock.
