Car Info: soon to be 94 legacy sport wagon
i got dyno specs on my camaro ss when i ran into the guy that owned the car before the guy i bought it from that did all the stuff to it and he said it was pushing 327hp with 3:20something gears. i guess it was also bored out to 383 and the carb. is also set up for nitrous but he never used it in this car. I am kind of an anti-nitrous person though. He ran it at a local dragstrip and it ran 15 seconds with a two barrel carb. at 5280+ feet. It has a four barrel carb. now.

i think it comes down to the driver.
i don't care about specs, hp, torque, what this or that magazine said.
I don't have alot of mods just basics (injen cold air, hks exhaust, turboxs bov)
and cars i've beaten from the line are:
98 trans am (blew away twice)(very embarrasing...4 him)
mustang gt
civic si
ls integra
prelude
3000 gt
this is from experience

i love my subaru, but i must say, my friend has a 68 camaro that will put all of us to shame. he has a rare trans am 302 in it (only 500 made). he does not have sub frame connecters or a roll cage but he still hooks up enough to pull the tires off the ground shifting from first to second. he has about 575 hp, with two four barrel carbs naturally aspirated. fastest car i have ever ridden in. i would take my subaru over it any day though for the mere reason that he gets 4 mpg on a good day. lol.

i believe car and driver actually had the altima 1/4 mile time about a second slower than the WRX...dont quote me on it though, but to the best of my memory thats what i thought i saw...they do accelerate quickly and smoothly though, but it is a larger car than the WRX

Dont the WRX's run in the 14.4 area .... Like I said , most I see run mid 14's ... But both cars need a decent driver to get good times !!! I know that with the WRX , minor mods make it way quicker ..... Definitly has more potential than the Altimas ...

i think the new tib. v6 makes about 200hp. i actually kinda like the look of it too. i saw one at the ny auto show looked very sick. turbo kit, all kinds of craziness goin on.
o, but unless you get the rally car, its still front wheel drive, so there ya go.
