Arrow Putting a BOV on

Hey I just bought a 04 WRX. I want to change the BOV and get a great loud sound. I need to know if there is anything more you need to get other than the bov itself. Is there any extra flanges or tubes or anything. Also what is a good BOV that has a great and loud sound. Thanx.

Usually when you buy a BOV, all the parts necessary are shipped with it.

Search for BOV, and you'll get all kinds of info on them.

just incase you didn't know, BOV's tend to make the car run a bit rich during shifts, and there are no performance gains. just the cool sound

aside from running rich, the car seems to run not as smooth as it shouldl with the stock bypass valve. Also when u continue upgrading, these excess fuel will pop in your exhaust if you are using turbo XS rfl with a catless uppipe. this is info based from my own experience on my car.

I have an hks bov, and it works pretty well. Although I'm thinking of getting the worx tuning bov which I hear works better than the hks, which is 100% atmospheric.

I just put in my HKS bov last night, it's great! It's pretty easy to install not much work, you might need another set of hands to help you. The guy I bought mine from was a great seller pm if you want more info, he sells the kit at a good price, I highly recommend him.

I'd recommend the GFB BOV, as you can set it up with a 50% vent and a 50% recirc. The car will only run rich if your BOV is set to 100% vent, and it will only happen for the 1/3 of a second between shifts, if it does happen. But like somebody said, it doesn't happen with all of them. Certainly nothing you're going to blow up your engine with. But, likewise, there isn't really any performance gains. Just a cool sound. But, hey, cool sound right

My buddie just bought the Turbo XS RFl. Souds really good!! Took me 20 min to install. The quality and craftsmanship of the BOV was top notch! Came with everything, shims, adaptor, sleeves for aftermarket charge pipes, plug for the existing dump tube. I put 4 shims in it and it works beautifully!
