I think that a TB on our cars COULD be of a great benefit. Especially to those of us with larger turbo's since there is only so much air (CFM) that a stock TB can pass. So, given that the turbo is pushing more CFMs, all that air gets backed up and our power curve "hits" the wall.
I am looking into a nice 80mm domestic TB I might be able to use. Since I don't have any stock ECU related stuff, using such TB with TEC III will be very simple, given I can just "attach" it to the manifold.

I installed my wifes tapered tb yesterday night. I drove her car this morning, just incase anything went wrong. Her mods:
MRT TMIC
DSBC
Blitz panel filter
I had to retune boost, it was over boosting by 3500rpm. The car feels much nicer. I think it was the bling bling polished option, lol.

Unfortunatly we still havent been able to hammer down any cores. No recyclers have wanted to sell any. And the best new price I've gotten so far is $536.33. The hunt continues.
