only bad thing about this is you have to send them your TB. i've asked them if i could pay a core charge, have the tb sent to me, then send them my tb and get refunded but they wouldnt respond...

The quantum tb is not truely ported. It's blended from the edge to the plate. Smoothed. I mean a straight porting of the TB. The stock ID (internal diameter) is 60.5mm on the outer edge, and 60 mm on the manifold inlet side. I mean porting that out to say, 65 or 66mm. Straight across. Let me ask you guys a question, if I could sell these, for say $200 with core and say a 1 week turn around, who would be down? I mean right now. Tell me, we can make this happen. 5 max to start out.

I'm thinking of just putting my car down for a few days to have mine done. Then I can take before and after picks. I just may do that. I'll have to look into other arrangements though, my wrx is my only car.

The intake manifold would need to be port matched. No biggie, just use a die grinder.

Ok, here's the deal. Next Saturday. We will pull, and port my TB. We will discuss pricing after he has a better idea of how much work each will be. I will be taking before and after pics. Manifold porting pics and so on.

Update. The TB has been ported-65.5mm taper to 64mm straight back. Went well. It is a little more labor intensive than your typical honda TB, about 4hrs labor. I have the ported unit installed on my car right now. The manifold isn't matched yet, but the car is definetly more responsive and making more hp. The idle is perfect. I will be doing some baseline runs this week(Stock TB), and dynoing the ported TB and manifold next week for comparison. We will have pics up soon. Comparison pics will be posted at the end of this week(When I have a stocker in hand). Sorry I forgot my cam, the only pics we have now are of the ported unit.

Because of the amount of labor required. Ported TBs will be $250. Tapered TBs will be $125. Maniford port matching $50.
