only 5.5 psi!!! HELP!!!!
i have an 02 wrx wagon, a while ago, i got a turbo xs dual stage boost controller, i put it it, pumped up the psi to about 15 psi, then killed a clutch. got new clutch, took out boost controller, and VDO boost gauge showed i was running around 5.5 psi, tried that for a while, but got pissed, so i put boost controller back on, and tuned first stage to 12 psi, and 2nd stage to 16 psi
. posted about some bogging issues in dual stage, and cel light comming on, so i took out boost controller again to take it in to shop, but never took it in, so i put it back on just like i had it before, only this time i was pushing 20 psi
I promptly got off freeway and put stock hoses back on, which i have on now, but im still only running 5.5 psi, anybody have any ideas whats wrong? i have an injen intake, apexi safc, blits nur-spec cat back exhaust, and hks ssqv bov, also a grounding kit, but i dont know if that would affect boost levels that much.

Do you still have the stock restrictor inline? Or did you put it back together with a single hose?
Also, I'd be a bit more careful about tuning that MBC. Your CEL was probabaly from the ECU unhappy with you boost levels.

5.5psi.. that is below wastegate pressure... you may have a problem w/ the wastegate actuator or BCS or a restrictor issue or a combination of these... where are you measring the 5.5? The stock wastegate spring is about 7 so even w/ no boost control you should be able to hit that.

I'd take it as "5.5" is his eyeballing it. Its prolly 7. And who knows how accurate the gauge is. Don't scare him more... yet
