Arrow Oil burning problem?

Hi everyone I haven't been here in some time.
I still have my 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX that has served me
well over the years and has been very reliable and dependable.
It still has a oil consumption problem though.I only use this car
to drive to work or to run some errands and I never drive on long
trips out of the state with this car.It is pretty much all stock
with only a catback exhaust and a K&N air filter.Ever since I purchased
this car it has had a oil consumption problem which has got worse over
time since I didn't do anything about it.Before it would consume one
quart of oil or less in 1K miles now it will consume more than a quart
in 1K miles. My car is now at 105K miles and I have only been using
10W30 oil motor and a Subaru oil filter.I perform the oil changes myself every 2500-3000 miles and have done all my general maintenance on time besides the timing belt I have not done that service yet.The only difference I noticed
was when I started using thicker 10W30 motor oil instead of 5W30 motor oil.
I would like to hear everyones opinion before I take my car to my mechanic.
What could be the problem with my engine? Could there be a issue with my
stock td04 turbo? Thanks.

My mechanic inspected my car and after taking apart my engine
found that my piston rings are bad,and my valve guides look horrible.
Also after he unbolted and took apart my turbo found that my
td04 turbo is bad and needs to be replaced.
I found a place that will give me a decent deal on a new complete engine
and I know of a couple places where I could purchase a new upgraded
turbo from.
I still love my Subaru and I will fix it and keep it since it has been a
great car to me.

Do it and fix it! May I ask how much it is? Are you doing a complete brand new 2.0 motor again? You know you can do a Hybrid setup and other things as well.
