Apex`i N1 isn't shiny? And if you want performance, why are you going with the HKS downpipe?

As for a shop bending specifically engineered pipes etc... I wouldn't do that. I'd either get custom pipes or pipes that are known to be compatible.

I was always one to believe that price was a direct reflection on quality. But i have recently found out the hard way that Price is not always a reflection on quality and fit..I will give you my exhaust as an example..I took off my old exhaust an decided to go with an expensive JDM exhaust.. I ordered my JIC 505s full TI catback(1100) and bought a helix downpipe from a friend..When i recieved the JIC and bolted it up the flange that went from midpipe to DP was not correct, it was angled away from the DP and i had an instant leak..It has been over a month that i have been driving with this leak and JIC refuses to admit that they made a prodction mistake.. They will not replace my midpipe despite the pictures i sent them.. In hind sight i would have gone with a company like turbo xs or somebody with better customer service that stands behind their products.. There is nothing like paying 1100 dollar's for a titanium catback and it not even fit correctly..

Just my story,
Dave

Could the problem lie in the helix downpipe ? Didn't the earlier versions have fitment issues ?

I bought the pipe from a friend that had it on his car with no probs.. It is a revised version..I am pretty sure the fitment issue was with the bracket not the flange..
