If you dont like doing the wrenching on the uppipe install. Buy somebodys extra stocker for like $30-40, gut it, and pay for a shop to install it.

Theres plenty of instructions on gutting around that are good. You just need a drill, a couple of bits, an extension, wire brush, and a couple hours.

IMO for 200 bucks there are a lot of things that you can do. Id get a lighted crank pulley (ive got the perrin), helped on the gas milage and made rpms drop less on shifts. You can also get some ic hoses (ive heard that they make the car feel smoother w/ some gains, ive still to try). You can hunt around for a unichip. You could get a tint job or other dress up stuff (bulbs). Rear sway bar (again ive got the perrin, what a difference), endlinks. you could get tools, jacks, jackstands, car washing stuff......endless things. 200 bucks is a lot as far as im concerned so choose wisely.

If i were you id save up and get an uppipe and gaskets, cause IMO that is the best thing to start you up on modding your wrx. After i would get the dp. Again this has been said a lot and done a lot with good results. So good luck man, have fun and drive safe!

If you want power, go up-pipe, or if you dont want to take a day installing it, buy intercooler hoses and the K&N.

If you want handling, either buy endlinks or a rear sway bar.

If you don't have a boost gauge, buy one.

Another avenue - stainless brake lines and better pads front and back.

i found through searching that cobbs catback is a replica of the stromung single tip. (identicle) save your dad a 100 or so and go with stromung. Have him give the difference for some IC hoses, they make a noticable difference. If your DP is stock, try the 3/16ths mod. It only seems to work with the stock DP, with my helix i got crazy fluctuating boost.

While i'm on the whole fluctuating boost thing, you need a boost guage. I don't know how i'd live without one.

okay, ok i also agree. Take the 200 wait for the next big holiday. Try to get another 200. You now have your self a cobb ecu. Now, that is suffient if your in Utah. You'll need another 60 or so for shipping there and back. It's defintaly worth it, at first. But, one gets use to it quick, and by now(after ecu), the mod bug will be spreading and you'll be fully infected and dumping all your loot into the car on mods. It never stops, speed can be worse than drugs, pretty addicting.
