Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

Loose Timing cover, am i missing a bolt?

hey all, had my car on the lift, and was cleaning up with a rag and pushed on the timing cover and (standing under transmission looking towards front of car, so i pushed the cover towards the bumper away from the block) the bottom left has a slight wiggle to it where the metal meets the plastic (where the foam type gasket is)...

the other side doesnt move at all, and neither do the top corners so im wondering why it does this

its not even a 1/4 inch of play but it does move, and it seems like there is a bolt missing, BUT the one above doesnt have the bolt either

pic for reference
(looking up from bottom of timing cover)

the plastic moves back from the metal slightly in this exact area, and that hole on the metal part in the middle of the picture is where i think i may be missing a bolt, but up above there is another one just like that and it also doesnt have a bolt in it?

TIA

motor has like 2k miles on it btw

I'm looking at this on my phone so I can't see too well. If its missing, the bolt should be replaced.
This isn't a deadline item, so don't stress out.

Can someone get under their car and see if there is any play on the bottom corner of timing cover on battery side?
