Car Info: TXS tbe, perrin goodies, v7 sti struts...bla bla bla lots of stuff!
This is the order that I ordered my performance mods... they are getting installed this week I HOPE! :-)
1. STI v7 struts w/ eibach lowering springs.
2. Perrin rear adjustable anti sway bar, w/ their endlinks
3. TXS TBE w/ RFL axle back (all catless) along w/ kartboy hangers
4. Crucial Racings uppipe
5. Cusco front and rear strut bars with the triangle piece
6. Stop tech front and rear s/s brake lines
7. Speedmonkey chimney heatshield
8. Kartboy shifter bushings
I already had the short throw and the boost gauge when I bought the car....
Personally I like it to be very rounded... I can't stand to see a awesome looking car with body kits and wheels but zero performance... right now I am pushing all go, no show..lol other than the little stuff like, front asp license plate cover, painted skirts and jdm headlights, foglight covers and an I badge...

Okay, I have to say that some people's advice isn't great. The first thing you should do is learn how your car will respond in different situations. You should know the car very well. Once you know it well , you'll also know what performance aspects you are pleased with and what you would like to upgrade.
If you do decide on all horsepower, you should start with simple bolt ons and work your way up. Full exhaust is one of the best modifications. Pullies are also popular. Wheels and tires are usually a given. The next step would be to get a bigger turbo, fuel injectors, fuel rails, fuel pump, intercooler (maybe, depends on setup). Along with that you would need proper tuning.
With tuning you have many different options. You can get a Vishnu reflahs, Cobb Accessport, UTEC, etc.
You should read as much as possible and do searches if you have questions and learn as much as you can. Any unanswered questions you have, feel free to start a thread and you'll get lots of feedback. Good luck

yeah im probably going to get the accessport, sounds really great... does anyone know if you get the TXS super-stealth turboback system without the rear exhaust part and you just put your rear stock exhaust on it, will it still give me over 20 hp? anyone recomend any good axle back exhaust that i can slap on with the txs superstealh turboback that isnt loud but good performance... i wanna be a sleeper status car

I got TBE and engine management first (TXS stage 2 + uppipe) then I got coilovers and front and rear sway bars. Next was TXS front mount then VF34, sti pinks, perrin rails, walbro 342 pump.
Think and expedite before you buy.
My current setup is as follows:
Retained TXS TBE and uppipe.
switched to COBBtuning accessport
TXS top mount
VF34
sti pinks
walbro 342 pump.
perrin rear sway
USDM STI struts and springs (love this setup better than my coilovers)

I am cheap and don't want to dump thousands of $'s into a car (bad investment) so i kept with the simple, cheap things -- rear sway bar, end links, short shift kit, window tint, fog light covers (mostly bought used off people from this sight for 1/2$ of new). Now I am going for Cobb AP (couldn't resist), then decide if I want/need to go TBE -- for me this is my 1st new car, want to at least keep the warrenty intact until it's expired. Just something to think about... not sure of your budget or mechanical experience.
I figure if you don't know much about cars, doing stages like Vishnu and Cobb are the way to go....

hezlok - I'm going for more of a sleeper look myself. I blacked out my windows (20%) all around. I got a set of 2000 RS wheels (7 in. wide for my 225 tires). I'm also getting a v7 STi suspension that might lower it like 1/2 an inch. Right now I've got Helix up and down pipes with a Borla cat-back, Samco intercooler hoses, and an AccessPORT. Those mods should give me about 230 to the wheels which feels SO much better than stock. Eventually, I'll do a VF34 with STi pinks and Walbro pump. However, my exterior is going to stay just like it is. I'm not even going to paint the side skirts. It's hard to make the WRX a sleeper, but at least people will only think it's a stock WRX.
Happy Modding!

It's not the Hush, it's the original single tip design and I love it. It's not too loud at idle and cruising speeds. However, anything above 4k and it really starts to rumble. Redline shifts are quite loud and exciting. Personally I love it, just got to be careful around the PoPo. If you're looking for a quiet cat-back, go with the Greddy Evolution. Greddy is Japanese isn't it?
Basically, you should get a intake, CIA if you want, i got the K&N Typhoon and I love it. Then definitly replace the exhaust with at least a catback / turbo back. I got the borla hush.....and its incredible. Id definitly recommend it! Thats basically all you need at first, oh yea, and maybe springs. Im running perrin springs and I love em!!! Then eventually save up for an up/downpipe "HELIX FLEX"
