Lancer turbo????
would the new lancer evo turbo fit a wrx? The reason I ask is that it's a twin scrool turbo. I've heard it works similar to a sequential twin turbos. Low end and high end power. I don't know so that's why I'm askin. That would be cool....

you can always get a VF37 ( or is it a 38 I forget ) from a Legacy tubo in Japan. I see the auctions every once in a while on ebay for them.

VF39 is USDM Sti turbo. The JDM Legacy twin scroll is pretty sweet on an EJ20. And no, you can't use an Evo turbo on the WRX, it's clocked wrong.

It's basically the same flow and power wise as a VF30, which is much easier to come by and a little cheaper, plus almost all tuners have experience with them.

I believe 16G's are now able to be adapted to EJ20's...I'm not sure about the current EVO turbocharger but many of the previous stock units in earlier gen EVO's used variations of the 16G (this turbo is considered the standard upgrade when swapping turbos for the first time). They flow a lot more air compared to the IHI upgrades that are standard mods for WRX owners...an 18G should also be available as it is a slightly larger compressor wheel in the same stock TD05 housing the DSM's use.
The Evo turbo will not fit. Completely different. There are a few companies out there making 16G's to fit the WRX. Good turbo on the DSM, used to have one. Twin scroll does absolutely nothing for the low end. EVO's have always used the Big 16G as the stock turbo. 18G's are worthless, at least in DSM's. They flow slightly more air than Big 16G's, but cost a lot more. Definitley not worth the extra money. I think Buschur Racing is making the 16G for WRX. Not sure though, check at www.buschurracing.com .
