I liked the Evo better when I was in Japan and it was only $24K when the Evo7 RS edition first came out. I hate Mitsu of America more then I hate dealing with SOA.

 

I have evo - itis of the brain

full trq at 3500 rpm - man - I am thinking to sell all my suby parts - imagine how fast that evo will spool uop after I get my fat hands on it

 

I am prob selling my custom intercooler ; upipe - external wastegate ; GT 30 turbo - all oil lines - brackets and custon down pipe for $5500.00 as a bolt on package - - if I sell that then there will be other stuff to sell later maybe

 

I'm with Al, probably selling the rex and getting the evo. But not til its out for few months. I remember the recalls the rex was getting on the first few models.

 

Who cares about the recalls - I'll prob be changing out the entire engine - powertrain and ecu in the first 2,000 miles anyway

Imagine what 500 wheel hp spooling up 1,000 rpm sooner than a wrx and weighing 200 lbs less will feel like

Nothing like having the turbo right on the exhust ports

 

Think I go for the yellow one !!!!

 

I like the fact that its also comming with a sun roof - (not to mention the big wing) all the interios appear to be black the ones my dealer are getting in are mostly red - silver - yellow and black - - my only concern is that with the wing and the sunroof the price may creep up towards 34,000

 

I was thinking of a blue one . . .

I am having second doubts when I see the total price - - after adding in all the extra options they are shipping these cars with and the cost of the engine mods - etc etc etc - its going to be a fast $50,000.00

maybe - I'll stick with the STI I have ????

Anyone have any info on the new twin scroll turbo they are putting in the new sti ???

 

Yeah - i may do that - I figure the evo viii will need an intake - exhuast - turbo chip to make it go fast so its going to be at least 5 - 6,000 over the sticker of about 32,000 with the sunroof and wing

But that low speed spool up is sure alluring

 

Due to the distance the upipe and headers have to be on the suby there is no way it will ever spool as fast as a dsm - - BUT - I could always stroke my car to 2.5 l and it would then give the dsm a good run

either way - for a few thousand the dsm will make a reliable 500 hp to the wheels all day an night and it weights 200 lbs less - a hard combo to beat - especially considering it comes with brembos
