Intake Problems
I own a 02 wrx I went to install a cold air intake and when I finished the installation i started the car and it would studder and then die. does anyone have an idea why this happened to me?
I put the stock intake back on and it runs fine.
Thanks

If I were you, I'm going to return that thing. CAI does not do your car any better, but in your case, it gave you problems instead of hoped improvements. I don't know exactly what the problem is, but I thought I'd share my thoughts with you.

It's probably a poorly designed intake. The MAF is misreading the airflow and probably bogging the car to the point where it stalls. Most CAI's don't do squat for subarus anyway... especially stock or near-stock ones.
Get a high quality panel filter instead (Green, Perrin, etc.), and remove the snorkus box if you want the intake sound. You'll be much happier with the results.

uhm CAIs suck that's why. probably something with vaccum. maybe you missed something with the install but it's pretty straight forward with the rex. stay stock - hope that helps...
