Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

installed UP/DP/axleback... no difference in performance wtf?

ok maybe there is. I got a dynomax muffler so my car still sounds pretty stock.

But my turbo still spools up @ 2900-3000 rpm! I got a gutted UP and an HKS DP so I'm running NO cats and there's no spoolup difference?

And I know that there's the factory boost limit, so I guess I won't feel too much difference in 1st gear right? Cause I GTech'd it and 1st gear max was .6 g's, same as before!

help...this is disapointing...

is that the only data u got to go by? i sure hope not......first gear is not going to be too much of a difference, as it's too short to really do any type of pull

since u have a gtech, have u tried redoing ur acc time? ur hp cal?

also, give the ecu a little time to get use to the mods, or u can do the vishnu reset

you sure there isnt any leaks? i have an up pipe and noticed a difference right away. and with the downpipe installed you should be ready to boost within seconds. check for leaks. it just doesnt sound right.

hm how do i check for leaks?

My exhaust sounds pretty mean right now

well in terms of spooling up yeah with the catless setup if I'm @ >3000 rpm and floor it zoom, 16 psi in a second. However i was under the impression that it would spool up at a lower rpm, like @ 2500 or something

listen for a shrill noise when you start up the car. its very distinct, you wont be able to miss it.

the uppipe alone should make your spool time lower. the downpipe should do the same as well. although ive read that the hks dp is a shoddy one, i doubt it would have too much of an effect. a catless downpipe should some improvements regardless.

who did the install?

Gruppe-S, who are da man! So it spools with quicker throttle response, not lower rpms then?
