I'm trying to install a turbosmart dual piston dump valve on my international spec 2003 WRX, but I'm having a clearance problem.

When trying to mount the dump valve, the trumpet is fouled by black metal tubes screwed onto and running in front of the TMIC. It looks like I will need a 10mm spacer to get the dv to fit. Alternatively I could fabricate brackets to lift these tubes by 10mm, but not knowing what they are for, I am reluctant to do so.

has anyone had this problem or know what the tubes are for and if I can move them slightly????

 

they are for blow by

they come off the top of the heads to the turbo inelt

just use rubber hose no need to get all crazy with making brackets
